Description

Tonteria, London is a Mad Mexican Presses Bar, a Square Salon, and a Tequila Nightspot. Tonteria Club is famous for its fun sharing-cocktails i.e. “Maya Pyramid”, “Lucky Luchador” and “Tequila Slammer”, which are inspired by Mexico’s heritage and culture. As the lights dim, Tonteria turns
into a fun nightspot for Sloane Rangers and other well-heeled Londoners. The venue is located outside the tube station, making it easy to find.

As you walk in you get the feeling you are in a nice little hacienda in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico. The décor is perfectly themed and amazing fun, and what is more, Tonteria Club London has one of the broadest and highest quality tequila selections in the world.
Another unique feature is their delicious sharing cocktails. If you want to experience an amazing cocktail and share it with your friends, just order from their sharing menu! Not only that, but in the traditional Spanish spirit you can enjoy delicious tapas dishes in the calm, relaxed booths. And if you want entertainment? Well, there are plenty of “tonterías”! Tonteria Sloane Square is known for its amazing performances and live shows, where traditional Mexican wrestlers fight all around the club. The early evening, starting from 5.30, focuses on theatrics, wrestling, performers,
and tame fun. They even have a toy train which brings drinks right to your table.

But although it is more of a relaxed place to stop for drinks and snacks until 10.30, from around 10pm they transition into a stunning nightclub. The evening moves seamlessly into the night as the DJ turns up the music, bringing all the latest beats and changing to atmosphere into pure fun. You can choose to stay in your booth drinking and enjoying watching the party, or you can start dancing
and mingling.

Naturally this combination of unique features brings out the local celebrities. Tonteria Club London has seen the likes of Jessie J, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, and even princes William and Harry. In short, Tonteria is the sort of place where you can expect to run into the rich and famous of
London. If you want a truly exclusive treatment you need to focus on Mondays and Thursdays, where only members of their super exclusive guest list. Book a table, order drinks, and settle in to celebrate an event, host a product launch, or just have an amazing time hosting a private party for yourself and your friends.

THE DRESS CODE AT TONTERIA

Dress codes can be confusing, so let us help you with our detailed, visual guides!

What is recommended:
The recommended look is the best one not just to get you in, but to make you feel at home.

The men at Tonteria nightclub generally wear collared button down shirts, suit trousers or black jeans, smart suits, and business casual. Lots of very sleek, smart looks.

The women at Tonteria club generally wear cocktail dresses, skater style dresses or other knee length dresses, and high heels. Hair can be loose or tied back, but make sure it is very neat. A half-up, half-down look is better than a loose look which could become messy. Statement jewellery is in, so feel free to go wild with big earrings, bright colours, and looks that scream fun.

What is allowed:
The allowed clothes are the full range of what will get you through the door.

The Tonteria dress code is smart casual, with a touch of classic glamour. Anything from a nice shirt and blue jeans, to a full tuxedo, is acceptable here.

Classic glamour for men includes:
-tuxedo

-two or three piece suit

-sports jacket

-polished black leather (or faux leather) shoes

Classic glamour for women includes:

What is a grey area:
The grey area are clothes that might be allowed some days/events and not others, or that are at the discretion of door staff. In short, if you happen to be in the area, wearing these clothes and want to check the club out, then maybe see if you can. You might get lucky. But if you are actually planning a night here? Avoid these and go for something closer to the dress code.

The main grey area at Tonteria is their special events. Whenever they run a special event they can change the dress code to suit it, which means that for one night, certain clothes are allowed that might never be allowed again. So if your first experience of Tonteria is a special event night, then make sure to brush up on the dress code, don’t just assume you can wear the same thing as last time!
